Your Destination
Known as Australia’s sunniest and most environmentally attractive city, cosmopolitan Perth is sophistication with a laid-back vibe. Suburban Murdoch University – home to CIEE – is 11 miles south of Perth and 6 miles east of Fremantle, a.k.a Freo. This funky port city is where you’ll find most students outside of class. With an alternative vibe, this city leads many green initiatives in Western Australia, and has a lively arts and music scene. The towns of Coral Bay and Exmouth are on the Indian Ocean about 745 miles north of Perth, on the doorstep of Ningaloo Marine Park. The world-famous reef and surrounding region brims with dolphins, dugongs, manta ray, sea turtles, mollusks, whales, whale sharks, coral, and colorful fish.
