Leadership matters. Leaders take action.
Frederick Douglass took action to realize his vision for freedom, for education, for equality and social justice, for people of color, for women, and many others who needed someone to advocate for their benefit. These college presidents have agreed to match CIEE’s $1,500 grant to their qualified students who applied for the Frederick Douglass Global Fellowship. It will enable dozens of students to participate in an international experience, just as Frederick Douglass did in 1845. It will change lives, just as Frederick Douglass’ life was changed through his international experience.
