Housing & Meals
Housing
Singapore is a small city, and its major attractions are easily reached via public transit, such as the subway. Commuting around the island, even between its furthest points, takes less than two hours.
Standard Housing: Includes a twin room (two single beds) in a residence hotel, located within 30 minutes of the city center. The hotel features a swimming pool, fitness room, a common area for studying, and complimentary Wi-Fi access. While the use of kitchen facilities is not available, students are able to purchase meals near the hotel for as low as USD $6 per meal.
Select Plus Housing: Includes a single room in a shared apartment or residence hall located within 30 minutes of the city center.
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive. Non-standard housing options require an additional fee that can be found in the program Dates and Fees.
Meals
Meals are not included, but housing is within close walking distance to food courts as well as many affordable eateries and 24-hour coffee shops.
Getting Around
The hotel is conveniently situated above a subway station where the students can take the subway to CIEE Singapore, which is located near the Newton subway station.
A note: Commute time from housing location to internship will vary depending on the location of the internship provider.
Academics
CIEE Singapore: Conveniently located in the southwestern part of the city, CIEE Singapore boasts three classrooms, and a meeting room used for studying, academic advising, and student life support. Students will find several restaurants, a supermarket, and a mall near CIEE Singapore.
