Housing & Meals
Housing
Singapore is a small but bustling city-state, and its major attractions are within easy reach via public transit, such as the subway. Commuting around the island, even between its furthest points, takes less than two hours. Students live in a shared twin room/hotel in a location accessible to public transportation. Each hotel room consists of a private bathroom with shower facilities and two single beds. The location also has a 24-hour caretaker/concierge to assist students.
Standard Housing: Includes a twin room in a shared apartment, residence hall, or hotel. The commute time to CIEE Singapore and Singapore Management University will be around 55 minutes by subway or bus.
Select Housing (Limited Availability): Includes single rooms in shared apartments or hotels within a 55-minute commute of CIEE Singapore. The room features an ensuite bathroom. There are also coin-operated shared laundry facilities onsite. Sheets, pillows, and blankets are provided. Select housing requires an additional fee.
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive. Non-standard housing options require an additional fee that can be found in the Program Dates and Fees.
Meals
Meals are not included in the program's housing, but housing is within close walking distance to many affordable eateries and coffee shops.
Academics
CIEE Singapore: Conveniently located in the southwestern part of the city-state, CIEE Singapore boasts three classrooms, and a meeting room used for studying, academic advising, and student life support. Students will find several restaurants, a supermarket, and a mall near CIEE Singapore.
