Overview

Your Business + Culture program in Singapore combines a broad selection of business courses with real-world professional experience in one of Asia’s most innovative cities. You’ll enroll in a combination of CIEE courses, host institution courses, and courses taught online through CIEE's global academic partner, ASU. Take part in co-curricular and extracurricular activities that showcase the city’s energy and diversity, including exploring the futuristic Gardens by the Bay, wandering through historic districts like Chinatown and Little India, attending local business workshops, and discovering museums and entrepreneurial hubs shaping Singapore’s global economy. CIEE’s excursions and cultural activities in Singapore will open doors for you to explore the city-state's rich diversity, language, culture, history, and timeless beauty in ways that will enhance your time abroad.       

Samples of excursions and activities: 

  • Experience Jewel at Changi Airport, from the Rain Vortex to its shops, and learn how design and customer experience drive a global destination 
  • Visit the Peranakan Museum on Armenian Street to experience the blend of Chinese and Malay culture through art, rituals, and traditional dress

CIEE Singapore: Conveniently located in the southwestern part of the city-state, CIEE Singapore boasts three classrooms, and a meeting room used for studying, academic advising, and student life support. Students will find several restaurants, a supermarket, and a mall near CIEE Singapore.

Singapore Management University (SMU): SMU is a public university in Singapore that was founded in 2000. SMU is the third-oldest autonomous university in the country, and it is triple accredited by AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. SMU enrolls about 10,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in accountancy, business administration, business analytics, economics, financial services, information systems management, law, and the social sciences. The university is organized into eight schools: the School of Accountancy, the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, the School of Economics, the School of Computing and Information Systems, the Yong Pung How School of Law, the School of Social Sciences, the College of Integrative Studies, and the College of Graduate Research Studies.

Arizona State University (ASU): Brought to you by CIEE in partnership with ASU, enhance your international coursework with online classes that align with your degree requirements. ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous 7.5-week sessions that fit within the CIEE academic calendar.

In addition, your college or university may charge additional fees for study abroad, or may require you to receive a transcript via CIEE's School of Record, which carries an additional fee of $500.
