Studying abroad is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step out of your comfort zone, experience new cultures, and grow academically and personally. I had the chance to study in both Rome and London, and each city offered something completely unique yet equally unforgettable.

Rome felt like walking through a living museum. Every street corner told a story — from the Colosseum to the Trevi Fountain, history was everywhere. Studying in Rome meant not just learning about ancient civilizations in class, but actually seeing them up close. I loved grabbing a cappuccino in the morning, taking language classes, and wandering through charming piazzas in the afternoon. The food, of course, was incredible — pasta, gelato, and espresso quickly became staples in my daily routine.

Then came London, a completely different vibe but just as exciting. The energy was fast-paced and cosmopolitan. I found myself surrounded by people from all over the world. My classes often included visits to museums, business hubs, and historical landmarks like the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey. Public transportation was a breeze, and exploring neighborhoods like Notting Hill and Camden made every weekend feel like a new adventure.

The combination of Rome and London gave me the best of both worlds — the deep history and warmth of Italy, and the modern, global energy of the UK. I learned to adapt to different cultures, made lifelong friends, and gained a new sense of independence.

If you ever get the chance to study abroad in more than one location, take it. Experiencing two major European cities helped me see the world in a new way, and I’ll carry those memories with me forever.
