My Study Abroad Experience in Paris
By: Bryan Kongnyu
Hey everyone!
I just wrapped up my study abroad semester in Paris, and wow, what an adventure it has been! I want to share some of my incredible experiences, the places I visited, and the things I learned along the way.
From the moment I arrived in Paris, I was in awe of everything around me. The city itself is like a massive museum, with historical buildings, stunning architecture, and an artistic atmosphere everywhere you look. I had the chance to live like a true Parisian, trying out my French, which improved a lot!
Classes were different from back home. They were engaging and I got to see things from a new perspective, which opened my mind. But let’s be honest, as much as I enjoyed the studies, the real excitement came from exploring the city.
I visited places like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and Notre Dame. Each place had its charm and history. Walking along the Seine at sunset was one of my favorite things to do. There’s something magical about Paris that photos just can’t capture.
But Paris was just the start! I also traveled to other parts of France and even popped over to a few neighboring countries. Each trip was a mini adventure on its own, filled with new foods, sights, and experiences. From tasting Belgian waffles in Brussels to walking through the quaint streets of Amsterdam, each place offered something unique.
One of the best parts of my time abroad was the people I met. From classmates to locals, everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I made some lifelong friends with whom I shared this amazing journey. We experienced new cultures together, learned a lot, and, of course, had loads of fun!
Looking back, I am so grateful for the opportunity to study abroad in Paris. It was more than just a semester; it was a life-changing experience that taught me much about myself and the world. I returned home with a backpack full of souvenirs, a phone full of photos, and a heart full of memories.
To anyone thinking about studying abroad: go for it! It’s one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences that you won’t regret. Just be open to new experiences and let the adventure unfold.
That’s all for now! Thanks for reading about my adventures in Paris. Until next time!
Au revoir!
