Main Highlights of Studying Abroad in London
By: Kyin Sheldon
Studying abroad in London was nothing short of life-changing. From the moment I arrived, I knew this city would be a mix of academic challenges, personal growth, and unforgettable adventures.
One of the most exciting aspects of my time in London was meeting so many incredible people from all over the world. The university was a melting pot of cultures, and I quickly made friends from Europe, Asia, and America. Whether we were studying together in a or just exploring the city on weekends, these friendships became one of the highlights of my experience.
London itself is a city that never gets boring. I loved how easy it was to travel—whether it was a quick trip to the British Museum or catching a train to explore other European cities. Weekends were often spent hopping on a budget flight to places like Germany and Spain, adding a whole new layer of excitement to my time abroad. It felt like I was living in a constant state of discovery.
Of course, the food in London was another major highlight. The city has such a diverse food scene, and I had the chance to try so many amazing dishes. From grabbing a quick bite at Borough Market to indulging in delicious pub food (the Sunday roast was a game-changer), my taste buds were constantly in heaven. But nothing beat the cozy coffee shops where I spent Sunday afternoons winding down and catching up on work. . One of my absolute favourite memories was seeing Moulin Rouge at the West End. The energy, the costumes, the music—it was such a vibrant, magical experience that truly made me fall in love with London's arts scene. Studying abroad in London was the adventure of a lifetime, and I’m so grateful for all the friends, memories, and experiences I gained along the way.
