Projects
Volunteering: Students will have the opportunity to volunteer at local community organizations, such as schools, community centers, or nonprofit organizations. Students may participate in activities such as tutoring, mentoring, or teaching English, and in the process, gain a deeper understanding of the local community and culture.

Housing & Meals
Housing
CIEE Taipei provides a variety of accommodation choices to make sure you feel at home while abroad. Moreover, all accommodation options are situated in neighborhoods with easy access to public transportation, shopping areas, cafés, and food establishments.
Standard Housing: Includes a double room in an apartment within a 30-minute commute from NTNU. Room amenities include desks, chairs, closets, electrical current 110 Volts/60 Cycles AC, and free internet connection. Coin-operated laundry machines are available
Select Housing: Includes a double room inside NTNU or within a 10-minute commute from NTNU. Room amenities include desks, chairs, closets, electrical current 110 Volts/60 Cycles AC, and free internet connection. Coin-operated laundry machines are available.
Select Plus Housing: Includes a single room with a private bathroom inside NTNU or within a 10-minute commute from NTNU. Room amenities include a desk, a chair, a closet, electrical current 110 Volts/60 Cycles AC, and free internet connection. Coin-operated laundry machines are available.
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive.
Meals
Meals are not included. Students are responsible for their meals. Meals are available in the NTNU campus cafeterias at moderate prices, and there are many affordable local eateries, restaurants and grocery stores in the vicinity.
Academics
National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) is a comprehensive university located in Taipei, Taiwan. It was established in 1946 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Taiwan. The university has a strong focus on education and teacher training (hence the word “Normal” in its English name) and offers a wide range of academic programs in fields such as education, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.
CIEE students will have access to AACSB courses offered by NTNU’s College of Management.
Course Information
Advanced Chinese language proficiency (at least four semesters of college-level courses) is required to enroll in a course taught in Chinese at other NTNU departments.
