Excursions & Activities

Housing & Meals
Housing
Our housing ensures students are always well-connected to the best of the city. Whether in the heart of the city or in the quieter, welcoming suburbs, students will enjoy a comfortable lifestyle with easy access to everything Auckland has to offer. Everything you need is within walking distance from their home, including various restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, and easily accessible public transport options.
Standard Housing: Includes twin rooms inside shared apartments/residence halls/studio apartments.
- Shared Apartments/Residence Halls/Studio Apartments: Students stay in double rooms within shared apartments, residence halls or studio apartments that feature shared bathrooms, kitchens, common areas, and free Wi-Fi. The self-catered accommodation is within a 45-minute commute to the CIEE Center.
Select Housing (limited availability): Includes single rooms in shared apartments/residence halls/studios within a 45-minute commute of CIEE. The single rooms will mostly be in the same accommodation as the Standard twin rooms. The accommodation features a kitchen, common areas and shared bathroom. Select housing requires an additional fee.
A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive. Non-standard housing options require an additional fee that can be found in the program Dates and Fees.
Meals
Shared Apartments/Residence Halls: While meals are not included, students can prepare their own meals in their accommodation’s kitchen. Auckland has a vibrant food scene with fresh local fruits, vegetables, and meats readily available. Students can also explore the various restaurants in the areas surrounding their accommodation.

From exploring local markets and cultural festivals to enjoying outdoor adventures in nearby parks and beaches, experience the unique blend of urban and natural beauty that defines Auckland.
