The intern may contribute to front-end and back-end web development tasks, assist with early database or data modeling work, and explore practical applications of large language models to streamline documentation or internal knowledge workflows. Projects could include prototyping an internal “research assistant” experience (e.g., structured summarization, literature support, or retrieval-based organization of internal notes) at a practical, non-research-heavy level. The student will learn how emerging AI capabilities can be applied responsibly inside a small scientific venture and how to scope and ship early prototypes quickly.
