We Are Here (Home)
A comic by Amy Pelz, Macalester College
I came into the Advanced Arabic Language program at CIEE Amman with no experience in Jordanian dialect. Admittedly, my Modern Standard (Fusha) wasn't spectacular either.
Nonetheless, by submitting myself to the challenge I walked away with infinitely better language skills in both dialects, newfound confidence, and spectacular connections.
Here is a brief comic-style overview of my time in Jordan.
