Watching the Eiffel Tower Sparkle
By: Maryam Vanbaelinghem
For my friend’s last day in Paris, we decided to watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle, as we really wanted to go out with a bang. This is such a classic, touristy thing to do and it’s so enjoyable. I met up with her parents who were visiting and we walked from Passy down to the Eiffel Tower right as it started to sparkle. We had such a beautiful view from the bridge, it was magnificent. We continued to talk and talk for an hour and saw it sparkle a second time. We headed onto one bridge where we had the Eiffel Tower on one end and beautiful city lights reflecting on the Seine on the other. A smaller version of the Statue of Liberty could be seen in the distance. Amazing way to finish off the semester.
