Seoul Festa 2023

My friends and I recently got tickets for and went to Seoul Metropolitan Government Seoul Festa 2023 Opening Ceremony Concert! It was so fun and exciting. Essentially Seoul Festa is a festival that takes place throughout Seoul that is held by the Metropolitan Government. It was an 8-day festival running from April 30 to May 7. The festival has five themes of music, style, taste, nightscape, and "boom up" events" (Korea.net). Different areas in Seoul offer different exhibits and experiences. I attended the Opening Day Ceremony Concert (K-Pop SuperLive) on April 30, 2023, at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium.
The ceremony included K-Pop groups that performed about 1-3 songs each, depending on the group. The groups I saw were: OH MY GIRL, iKON, STAYC, P1Harmony, NATURE, IVE, ENHYPEN, Kep1er, BE'O, Lee Youngji, THE BOYZ, and ATEEZ, who I had just seen in concert the night before, they're so so talented.
The concert was incredible. However, it was shortened due to rain. Despite the rain, it still ended with a large fireworks display after Ateez closed the concert with The Real (Heung Ver.). In order to get tickets, you had to book through a travel agency as it was a festival to promote travel to Seoul. We booked through Klook, and the ticket was about $35. The ticket also came with general access to Lotte World on a day of our choice. It was so easy and efficient that we ended up sitting in the front of the second section, just right off the ground!
