A Peaceful Place: Seonyudo Park
Are you looking for somewhere to relax surrounded by nature? Or are you looking for a great place to see the cherry blossoms when they bloom? Well, Seonyudo Park (선유도공원) is the place for you!
A Korean friend of mine recommended we see the cherry blossoms in Seonyudo park. We took a quick bus ride to the park's enterance, which is actually on a bridge in the middle of the Han River. Seonyudo Park is on Seonyudo Island, which sits directly in the middle of Seoul's famous waterway. This makes it so the bridge and park provide amazing views of both sides of the city! When going into the park, I was greeted by lush green trees, flower beds, and of course cherry blossom trees. Out of all the places I saw cherry blossoms, I think this was my favorite. It is definitely pitcure-worthy scenery. You can get the Han River, Seoul city, and cherry blossoms all in one shot!
In Seonyudo Park, there are waterfront cafes, sitting areas, a visitor center, waterfalls, and so many beautiful places to sit and relax. I saw students having picnics with their friends, families out on walks together, wedding photoshoots, and people walking their dogs. It's a wonderful place to unwind and feel the energy of Spring time. I ended up visiting the park twice in the same week because I loved it so much. I would definitely recommend a visit to Seonyudo Park if you're someone who is interested in photography, cafes, or nature!
