As I wrap up my first month studying abroad in Sevilla, Spain, I can’t help but reflect on the incredible experiences I’ve had so far. From navigating life in a new city to embarking on weekend trips to breathtaking destinations, this journey has been nothing short of transformative.

Sevilla, with its charming cobblestone streets, stunning Moorish architecture, and vibrant culture, has quickly begun to feel like home. Walking along the Guadalquivir River at sunset, enjoying tapas at a local café, and watching flamenco performances in Triana have all become cherished parts of my routine. The city is a perfect blend of historical grandeur and modern energy, making every day an opportunity to learn and explore.

Beyond Sevilla, I’ve had the chance to visit Córdoba, Ronda, and Málaga—each offering a unique glimpse into Spain’s diverse history and landscapes. Córdoba’s Mezquita left me in awe, its mix of Islamic and Christian influences creating one of the most breathtaking monuments I’ve ever seen. Ronda, perched atop dramatic cliffs, felt like stepping into a postcard, with its iconic Puente Nuevo bridge offering stunning views of the deep gorge below. And Málaga, with its golden beaches and lively atmosphere, provided the perfect seaside escape to relax and soak in the Mediterranean sun.

This past month has been a whirlwind of new experiences, cultural immersion, and personal growth. Living and studying in Spain has challenged me in the best ways, from adjusting to a different pace of life to embracing spontaneous adventures. I can’t wait to see what the next few months hold as I continue to explore, learn, and make the most of my time abroad!
