Animal welfare & wine sounds like a good plan
Last week we had the opportunity of visiting a unique place in the province of Alicante, and probably also in all of Spain. We’re talking about Primadomus, a rescue center for wild animals, located in Villena, where different species of primates and big cats are rehabilitated after having a life full of difficulties. All of our students were fascinated with the great work that this center carries out!
Afterwards, we went to the Bodega Francisco Gómez, located in Sierra Salinas, a perfect natural environment for grape growing and the subsequent elaboration of wine. Besides getting to know the production process, we could taste four different varieties of an excellent extra virgin olive oil, and all of this was accompanied by local cured meats and sausages.
It was a great way to further explore the province of Alicante!
