HOW TO USE YOUR TRAVEL VOUCHER:

1. Confirmed students will be sent their voucher code approximately 60-90 days prior to their departure to their eligible CIEE program
2. The directions will explain how to book your flights on studentuniverse.com using your Dates and Arrivals Information in https://my.ciee.org/
3. Do not arrive late or depart early from your program
4. Do not book until you have received your voucher code

PLEASE NOTE

1. You may need to enter your credit card information at the time of booking
2. If you do not use the full amount of your voucher, the remaining amount expires; StudentUniverse will not save or refund the unused amount. Your voucher has no cash value.
3. Any ticket price beyond the voucher’s amount will be charged directly to your credit card          
4. Your CIEE voucher does not cover the cost of trip protection, baggage insurance, tours, flight changes, hotels, or any expense beyond airfare on StudentUniverse’s website
5. Enter your unique travel voucher code (this code was emailed to you upon submission of your CIEE Study Abroad application)
6. This offer is only valid for qualifying spring, summer, and fall 2025 CIEE programs. If you cancel, defer to a new term or change to a non-eligible program, your flight voucher is invalid.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

1. If you cancel participation in your CIEE program and have used the travel voucher code, you may be required to pay back any non-recoverable portion of the voucher to CIEE
2. This voucher can only be accessed once; please book your outbound and return flights at the same time; use Multi-Site if you are going to multiple locations
3. Your travel voucher code is unique to you and can only be used for one transaction; do not share codes with others
4. DO NOT book your airfare until you are 100% confident about your attendance in the program and have read your Departure and Arrivals Information (DAI) in your CIEE My Account
5. This flight voucher cannot be used toward upgrades
6. This voucher can only be used for Economy Flights
7. You are responsible for any costs associated with changing your itinerary
8. This flight voucher has no cash value; leftover funds from booking will not be distributed
9. Do not book your flights outside of Student Universe or you forfeit access to this flight voucher
10. THIS VOUCHER CAN ONLY BE USED FOR FLIGHTS ASSOCIATED WITH QUALIFYING SPRING, SUMMER, OR FALL 2025 CIEE PROGRAMS. The flight voucher award amounts include 
11. $1,500 grant for semester programs, or 2-3 Open Campus Blocks
12. $500 grant for summer programs or 1 Open Campus Block

HOW TO ENTER

To enter, go to the Trailblazer Grant page to request the voucher and apply to a qualifying program from 9:00 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) on May 2, 2024, to 3:00 PM ET May 1, 2025 (the “Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry period will be disqualified. Participants who submit an application for any of the qualified Trailblazer programs will qualify for the voucher to be applied to that program or term. Requesting the voucher via the online form is not required to be qualified. All entries and requests become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.  LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER PERSON: Multiple entries submitted by a single person during the Entry Period, whether from one email address or multiple email addresses shall render all of such person’s entries void and ineligible. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an online entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email account of the email address at time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor which are final. This flight voucher grant is open only to individuals who meet ALL of the following qualifications: (i) legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia; (ii) is at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry; and (iii) is or will be enrolled in a U.S.-based two (2) or four (4) year college or university on or after September 1, 2021.

By participating, entrants: (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements; (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters; and (iii) agree to and adhere to CIEE’s Terms and Conditions for studying abroad as well as those policies set forth by his/her home educational institution. Employees of sponsor and members of their immediate family (e.g., spouses, domestic partners, parents, children, siblings) are not eligible to participate. Entries that are incomplete or corrupted are void and will not be eligible. An effort by an entrant to misrepresent himself or herself through the use of aliases or multiple email addresses will disqualify all entries of such individual. Sponsor and its agents reserve the right to verify eligibility qualifications. Failure to comply with these Official Rules as determined in the sole discretion of the Sponsor may result in disqualification from the flight voucher grant. This flight voucher grant is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

THE SPONSOR

The Sponsor of this flight voucher grant is CIEE, Inc., located at 600 Southborough Drive, Suite 104, South Portland, Maine 04106. This flight voucher grant may be advertised on Facebook, Google Ads, Twitter, TikTok, or Instagram, but this flight voucher grant is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Google, Twitter, TikTok or Instagram.

RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless CIEE, Inc., any administrator, their employees, legal representatives, successors and assigns, and any advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or causes of action, suits, debts, indirect or direct damages arising out of participation. The Released Parties shall not be responsible for: (i) any technical errors that may prevent an entrant from submitting an entry; (ii) unauthorized human intervention; (iii) printing errors; (iv) errors in the administration or the processing of entries; or (v) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error, or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation.

In the event Sponsor or its agents are prevented from continuing the flight voucher grant as contemplated by any event beyond its control, including, but not limited to fire, flood, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war, or any federal, state, or local governmental law, order, or regulation, or order of any court or other cause not within its control, Sponsor and its agents shall have the right to modify, suspend, extend, or terminate the flight voucher grant. SHOULD A PROGRAM BE CANCELED, SPONSOR’S ONLY OBLIGATION IS TO AWARD THE REMAINING ELEMENTS OF THE FLIGHT VOUCHER GRANT DESCRIBED HEREIN.

PUBLICITY

Where permitted by law, Recipients agree that the Sponsor has the right to print, publish, broadcast and use worldwide IN ALL MEDIA without limitation at any time and in perpetuity the Recipient’s full name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness and/or biographical information for advertising, trade, and promotional purposes in connection with the Sponsor and the Sponsor’s websites, subdomains thereof, and its digital media channels, without further payment or additional consideration, and without review, approval or notification.

PRIVACY NOTICE

By entering, any personal information entrants submit will be disclosed to the Sponsor and will be used only by us consistent with our Privacy Policy. Sponsor may use entrants’ personal information, including postal and email addresses, to contact entrants regarding Sponsor’s goods and services and any other offers and/or promotions that we believe may be of interest to entrants. (If you have previously asked us not to send you promotional emails, your entry into this promotion will cause you to receive emails related only to this promotion).

LAW / DISPUTE RESOLUTION

This flight voucher grant will be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions. Any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with this flight voucher shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Any action or litigation concerning this flight voucher grant shall take place exclusively in the federal or state courts sitting in Portland, Maine, and you expressly consent to the jurisdiction of and venue in such courts and you waive all defenses of lack of jurisdiction and inconvenient forum with respect to such courts. ANY CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND/OR AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ENTERING. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHTS OR CLAIMS TO ATTORNEYS’ FEES, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER FORESEEABLE OR NOT AND WHETHER BASED ON NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE.
