Everything they need is within walking distance from their home, including various restaurants, supermarkets, a pharmacy, and easily accessible public transport options.
Standard Housing: Includes a homestay or twin rooms inside apartments/residence halls.
- Homestays: Homestays provide students with the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in New Zealand’s diverse culture. New Zealand is a multicultural city, and students will stay with families from various nationalities, including New Zealanders. These homes are located within a 45-minute to 1-hour public transport commute from CIEE. The homestay experience includes breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday. Students will have the freedom to come and go as they please while spending quality time with their host families, gaining firsthand insight into everyday life in Auckland.
- Shared Apartments/Residence Halls: Double occupancy rooms in shared apartments/residence halls feature a fully equipped kitchen, shared living rooms and bathrooms, and coin-operated shared laundry facilities onsite. Meals
Homestays: Students who live with host families receive two meals daily (usually breakfast and dinner) from Monday to Friday. The other meal and/or any snacks are the responsibility of the student. Students can make use of the kitchen space at the homestay and families will provide a cabinet or storage area to store their food, ingredients, etc.
