A Weekend Escape to Sitges
By: Stella Khan
I made the decision to spend the weekend with my three friends in Sitges, a quaint beach town that is only 30 minutes away by train, in order to get away from the bustle of the metropolis. Before we knew it, we were getting off the train and inhaling the salty beach air after a smooth and quick ride.
Our first destination was the beach, where we walked on the golden sand and enjoyed the sensation of the waves caressing our toes. Any tension from the previous week was immediately relieved by the sound of the waves and the view of the Mediterranean before us. After that, we explored the town's smaller streets, which were a charming tangle of pastel-colored buildings, vibrant flowers, and secret shops.
When hunger struck, we located the ideal location at a beachside restaurant. Perfectly roasted potatoes, crisp salad, and delicious paella were all part of our feast. The flavors were so deep and the paella so full of fish and spices that it was a real experience of seaside Spain. We sat back and enjoyed the lunch, the laid-back vibe, and the soft sea wind.
It was impossible for us to avoid stopping for ice cream before boarding the train to return. As we made our way back to the station with cones in hand, the sweet treat was the ideal way to cap off a wonderful day.
It would be impossible for me to let the day go by without posting a TikTok video! Everything about it, from the mouthwatering food to the stunning views, felt TikTok-worthy. Distributing it to other people delighted me greatly, and I hope it encourages others to travel to Sitges.
Sitges has everything we could want: lovely food, a laid-back atmosphere, and stunning views. It's the kind of location you go to once and start making plans to go again right away. Looking forward to returning!
