Professor Bruno Nunes and his Global Scholars students taking Comparative Politics course were received at the International Amnesty, Argentine section, by its Director of Promotion and Protection of Human Rights.
This co curricular activity intended to show an example on civil engagement and political activism. Students learned about the NGO's work, how it is structured, what their local and global agendas are, how campaigns are planned. The Director opened a space for a very rich debate and students´ questions. Students showed much interest in the current agenda related to reproduction rights and native people´s rights in our country. This was a complimentary way of learning from experts and institutions.
Students were very enthuthiastic at the end of the meeting since the opportunity of a service learning experience was discussed.
