Trip to the South of the D.R.
By Isidro Lopez, CIEE Santiago Staff
Friday
After a 3am wake up alarm, students arriving early, just in time and late an 9-hour bus ride started to the south of the country, Bahia de las Aguilas. A beautiful part of the country with a beautiful virgin beach just for the group on a Friday afternoon. We sunbathed, danced, got in the water, took pictures and enjoyed the view.
After a nice afternoon at the beach. We had dinner and waited for a the bonfire which was filled with more dancing and a beautiful night sky filled up with stars, so clear that you see a few different of the constellations. So far is a great trip and is just day one.
