Helsinki Visit - Copenhagen Study Tour
Fall Block II - Helsinki
Helsinki, Finland is one of Europe’s most vital small cities. On the Baltic Sea and just a short distance from Russia, Finland has played an important historical role, from the Viking era through the Cold War and into today. Our visit to Helsinki will bring us to one of the archipelago’s islands, Suomenlinna, where we will tour the UNESCO World Heritage fortress. Helsinki is known for its high-tech industry and innovation, which will come alive through a visit to the Health Innovation Village. We will also visit the Design Museum and hear about the Finnish design aesthetic, which is rooted in the nature in abundance there.
