Donations to Roba Amiga
Every semester, at CIEE Barcelona it is offered to students the option to donate clothes and electronic devices. This Fall semester several Economics + Culture students participated in this opportunity and they donated many of their clothes at CIEE. All thes items were donated to Roba Amiga, which is a cooperative of 5 non-profit companies, whose goal consists in working with second half clothes in order to help people in risk of social exclusion. With a model based in environmental, social and economic sustainability, Roba Amiga collects, clasifies and sells these clothes. All this work is done by people in risk of social exclusion, in order to help them in their socioeconomic re-insertion.
Thanks to all the students collaborating in this initiative and bringing something back to the local community.
