Concerts In Seoul ݁ ˖Ი𐑼⋆
If you love concerts or KPOP, then obviously there’s no better place to be than in Seoul.
That’s one of the reasons why I choose to study abroad in Korea. So many of the artists I listen to are based here, and being able to see them live was something I knew I couldn’t pass up. Since being in Korea, I've already attended several concerts, and honestly it's become one of the highlights of my experience abroad.
What surprised me most wasn't just how fun concerts are with friends, but also how enjoyable they can be alone.
I’m the type of person that enjoys hanging a friend with me at all times, but with my time abroad and these concerts, I’ve learned the value of hanging out with myself. There’s something really freeing about doing things on your own and even sharing that energy with random people, who may not speak the same language as you, but have the same energy and love the same artists as you. If you are considering studying abroad in Korea, I would 100% put concerts on your must-to-do list.
I’ve had the opportunity to see Woodz, Se So Neon, Youra, Day6 and even Grent Perez (who are even more incredible live). I even got to see Cortis at a school festival! Next I’m going to see Laufey who’s performing in Seoul! Each artist had their own vibe, and seeing them live made me love their music even more. My list of artists I want to see continues to expand.
When it comes to getting tickets, I’ve mostly used NOL World or followed links directly from official concert pages. I usually discover events through Instagram, TikTok, or just by hearing it from friends. Sometimes the best experiences happen because someone asks, "Do you want to go?" and you decide to say yes.
There’s so much to do here in Seoul, and I would say the best experiences come from being open to the unexpected. Go to the concert even if you’re unsure and say yes to that event with your friends. Meet tons of new people and talk to everyone you want too. Even trying things alone and scared, you will end up loving it more than you expect. You never really know what can come out of it, and that’s what’s making my whole time abroad more exciting than it already is. You never really know where one "yes" can lead; that's what has made my study abroad experience even more exciting than I imagined. :꣓
