CIEE Appears in Alton Brown’s Latest Video
CIEE made a fun appearance in the latest episode of Alton Brown Cooks Food on YouTube, as Alton showed off his old International Student Identity Card (ISIC) from his college days.
Alton studied abroad in Italy in 1984 while attending the University of Georgia as a drama major. In an interview with Spoon University, he spoke about the impact the experience had on him, saying his "life was changed by international travel during college."
Alton later attended the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont before going on to create the hit television show Good Eats.
Where does CIEE fit in? At the time, CIEE administered ISIC cards for many colleges around the U.S. ISIC cards served as proof of student status and gave cardholders access to discounts while traveling abroad.
