A-Salamu Alaykum! Couple weeks ago we had a weekend excursion to the City of El Jadida and the quiant beach city of Oualidia. We were ony in El Jadida for a short amount of time where we had a brief tour pf the Portuguese section of the city. This part of the city was very old and beautiful. Walking down the old city we passed by shops selling colorful rugs, boxes that were puzzles, and even old antique knives. While on the tour we went to the cistern in the Portuguese part. The ground had a thin layer of water that beautifully refelected the pillars, the ceiling, and the opening in the sky that created an awe inspiring visual.

As you enter the city of Oualidia, you can't help but think what a beautiful beach town. Just the view of the Atlantic Ocean alone was just stunning. Driving alongside the water you could see fisherman fishing, and children running around the water. The next day we had surfing lessons which kind of scared me because I kind of don't know how to swim and was unnerving. But once we started surfing became fun and the water was very shallow. Everyone started to get the hang of it and mostly everyone stood up at least once. Even I shocked myself when I stood up once, not twice, but 4 times on the surfboard.

Sadly, thought all things must come to an end and it was around the time for us to leave Oualidia. At least now I can tell others I don't how to swim but I do know how to surf :)
