Córdoba is the second most important city in Argentina and the main city in the central region of the country. The city has important historical, cultural and touristic points. In 2000, UNESCO declared the Jesuit Square a World Heritage Site. Córdoba was the religious-administrative seat of the Jesuit Province of Paraguay, which included the current territories of Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, and parts of Brazil and Bolivia.
