This basic 60-hour course is self-paced and designed to allow you to complete coursework at any time during a six-month period. Experienced tutors provide support using our innovative video feedback tool, and discussion boards allow you to interact with peers who are also taking the course. CIEE’s 60-hour introduction to TEFL program is ideal for people looking to teach English in a country where a TEFL certification is not a hiring requirement. Usually when a school or government requires candidates to be TEFL certified, they will be looking for a certification that is at least 100 hours with a practicum included. If you are looking to teach in a country where a TEFL certification is required, we recommend considering our 150-hour certification, 180-hour certification or a Destination TEFL program.
