If you ever dreamed of running your own business, this program is where you want to start! With an entrepreneurship education expert as your mentor and guide, join a small group of future business leaders like you on a journey across Europe’s startup hot spots.

Hop from Dublin to Copenhagen and Berlin to discover three different markets and business cultures. Meet with real-world entrepreneurs and gain insights from their personal stories. See what it takes to bring an innovative concept to market and develop your own new business idea.  Work in teams to develop a go-to-market strategy and pitch it to a panel of professionals at the end of your stay!

Between brainstorming sessions, interactive workshops and networking events, enjoy the local sights and flavors: explore Dublin’s castle, navigate Copenhagen’s canals or see the Berlin wall! Daily excursions and activities break up the schedule and provide a deep immersion in the local culture. These outings are also a great opportunity to bond with your group and learn more about local customs and behaviors!

After 3 weeks, your newfound confidence may surprise you! You’ll have a better grasp on the process of developing and marketing an idea from start to finish. You’ll have gained experience collaborating as a team in a fast-paced environment and presenting to real professionals. This program takes you to three leading startup capitals of Europe!
Start your journey in Dublin. With over 50% of its population under the age of 25, the Irish capital is one of Europe’s most youthful cities and you’ll feel that energy from the lively street life to the local startup scene. Visits to a local branding agency or family-owned businesses alternate with tours of local landmarks like Dublin’s castle, its underground river and gardens! And our local team won’t let you leave Ireland before trying a game of Gaelic football or Hurling!
From Dublin, fly to Copenhagen. From the city’s pristine waterways to its modernist lamps, to the many castles and bell towers, Copenhagen is a feast for the eyes! Visit Nyhavn, Copenhagen’s waterfront, canal, and entertainment district that features iconic brightly colored townhouses that line the harbor. Then explore an ancient Viking village!
Berlin is your last stop and arguably one of Europe’s most dynamic cities. After 70 years of dramatic change, the capital of Germany is now a fast-developing and vibrant metropolis with many different cultures and sub-cultures living side by side. About one-third of Berlin is park land or gardens, contrasting with its urban feel and reputation. The Brandenburg Gate serves as a historical landmark, famous for its association with the Berlin Wall which separated the city in East and West and in the peaceful revolution fell in 1989. Recently refurbished, it is a national symbol of peace and unity.

CIEE wants all our students to feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to succeed while studying abroad. Local CIEE staff have provided details about conditions and cultural attitudes that students with specific identities might encounter in DublinCopenhagen, or Berlin.
