Empowering Students Begins with Empowering Educators
CIEE Global Navigator professional development for teachers provides tools and resources for more impactful learning experiences in the classroom. Our opportunities and events are available throughout the year and take place both in the U.S. and across the world. They are designed for high school teachers and administrators who want to connect, collaborate, and exchange Ideas on global education.
Visit a CIEE Global Navigator Program…on Us!
When 10 or more students from your high school participate in our high school summer abroad programs, one teacher or administrator from your school can travel to visit a program.
During this free, week-long trip, teachers from across the U.S. get together to:
- Travel to one of 35+ incredible destinations
- Observe interactive classes with local teachers
- Tag along with participants on excursions and cultural activities
- Meet homestay members
- Explore new instructional strategies around global education
Attend the CIEE Global Navigator Professional Development Symposium
Every fall, we invite a group of passionate teachers and administrators to spend a weekend participating in interactive workshops and sharing best practices in global education.
This free of charge symposium is designed to provide educators with new resources for their classrooms and get them inspired to cultivate a more global culture at their schools.
Last year’s events, which took place in New York, NY and Palo Alto, CA focused on intercultural leadership and social emotional learning.
Become a Program Leader
Every year, we hire U.S. high school teachers, counselors, coaches, and educators to lead our high school summer abroad programs. This fun, summer job for teachers comes with weekly pay, experiential learning training, and professional development opportunities before and after program.
