Last week was full of activities to make sure we didn't miss anything before we wrapped up our program and returned to the States.  Our week started off with some time outside along the Vltava river enjoying an American favorite, mini golf.  After that, for those who were interested, they got the chance to see a movie at Lucerna Movie Theatre. This entertainment and retail venue was built over 100 years ago, inspired by an American movie palace with Renaissance architecture.  One evening we went to a classical orchestra, a very special outing in Czech culture, the students were dressed to impress.  The workshop at DOX Centre For Contemporary Art was a nice way to finish our education outside of the class room.  Throughout this journey in Prague, the students were learning about modern techniques to create art digitally, and many of our extracurricular activities exposed them to art from centuries ago.  At DOX they got to experience art through another dimension, beyond what meets the eye.  They were reminded to touch base with other senses while trying to understand the meaning behind art, considering all your senses that are activated when you look at or create it.  On our final day of class we shared their final video projects they created during week three as they learned more about digital graphics with Adobe After Effects.  When I saw these videos it was a reminder of how much fun they really had and I'm sure they will see each other again!  Their three weeks as students at the Art and Design Institut of Prague was completed upon receiving their certificates at a small graduation ceremony.

Please enjoy a couple of the videos the students submitted highlighting their time together in Prague!
