Marisa's Programs
Marisa Deku holds a Bachelor degree in Business Management from the University of Cincinnati. In 2010, she found her way to Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer and has called it home ever since. She started in Morocco as a volunteer in the Small Business Sector sharing with artisans the knowledge of business as they already hold the skill of the craft. From there she wanted to see more of Africa and found herself settling in Namibia for a few years working in conservation, youth entrepreneurship and sports development. Between work, she finds time to travel and explore all the wonders of the continent. Previously she worked as a Program Leader in Morocco with a study abroad program focused on culture exchange and the beauties of Islam as well as in Botswana focused on conservation. She now lives in Accra leading students on service and leadership programs at the University of Ghana. She recognizes the demands of the global environment we now live in and takes pride in bringing people together from all corners of the world.
