From Mountain to Sea: Discovering Palma
Wow, has it been a busy first week! Things got off to an inauspicious start after we missed our flight connection in Madrid, but that proved to be a minor bump in the road as everything has picked up greatly since then. Early on, the students got to know the city through a scavenger hunt. They couldn't wait to get into the water and after a short hike to Bellver Castle, we cooled off at Illetes Beach. Later, we visited the fish market to see the seasonal catch. Students had a chance to make friends and try their hand at traditional Spanish cuisine during a cooking class with local high schoolers. And yesterday, we took a survey of marine life at the wildlife reserve at Cabrera National Park. We're certainly looking forward to a free morning tomorrow!
