Overview
Discover the art of Italian cooking in Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance and the perfect setting to craft your own menu!

Picture yourself hand-making pasta, shopping for fresh ingredients at open-air markets, and sharing plates of classic Italian dishes with new friends who love food as much as you do. In Florence, Italy’s capital of culture and cuisine, you’ll master crowd-pleasing Italian recipes, learn from experienced chefs, and explore breathtakingly beautiful Tuscany.

In the kitchen, take daily cooking classes and culminate the summer by building your own custom menu inspired by centuries of Italian culinary tradition. Learn the details of classic recipes like ravioli, tagliatelle, pappardelle al ragù, and tiramisu. Savour gelato in the town that invented it, along with other Florentine must-eats like bistecca alla fiorentina (a thick, grilled T-bone steak) and aragostine (flaky pastries filled with chocolate or pistachio).

When you’re not cooking or eating, take in Florence’s breathtaking sights. Hunt for art treasures at the Uffizi Gallery, stroll the Rose Garden, and climb Torre di Arnolfo for amazing views. Head beyond Florence to the Tuscan countryside and take an unforgettable excursion to Rome. By the end of summer, you’ll have new cooking skills, cherished memories, and close friendships you’ll never forget.

The Destination

Welcome to Florence, where iconic art, rich history, and mouthwatering eats are around every corner.

Florence feels like a masterpiece you can walk through. As the birthplace of the Renaissance, the city is home to world-famous landmarks like the Duomo’s soaring dome, Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus,” and the medieval Ponte Vecchio bridge. Its compact, walkable streets are packed with architectural wonders, delicious street food, and statue-filled piazzas.

Florence is a perfect place to taste your way through the best of Italian cuisine. Grab a schiacciata (crispy Tuscan flatbread filled with meats and cheeses). Savor pappardelle al ragù di cinghiale (wild boar) and eggplant parmigiana. Treat yourself to an espresso with a maritozzi (sweet cream-filled buns) for an afternoon pick-me-up.

If you’re passionate about cooking, there’s no better place to explore your craft than Florence. This is a city where rich experiences await you around every corner. Every day will expand your palette and gift inspiration that will stick with you long after the trip ends.
