Overview
Explore what governance and diplomacy mean at an international level in Brussels, the political and economic heart of the European Union.

Get a front-row seat to European politics in Brussels. Discover what it takes to negotiate and maintain peaceful diplomatic relations as you learn how cross-border collaboration helps shape policy, address global challenges, and strengthen international partnerships.

Over three weeks, you’ll connect with local leaders for an in-depth introduction to the key institutions and policy frameworks that shape the European Union. As the headquarters of major EU institutions and multinational organizations, Brussels offers a unique opportunity to experience international policymaking firsthand and gain valuable insight into how global institutions work together to address today’s most pressing challenges. Drawing upon your experiences and studies throughout the program, you’ll work alongside fellow Global Navigators to debate a current global challenge and explore how international institutions influence decisions that shape our world.

Outside of class, you’ll explore renowned museums, discover grand town squares, or sample world-famous chocolate and cuisine in eclectic neighborhoods. From riding to the top of the Atomium for sweeping views to spotting iconic characters on the Comic Strip Route, Brussels offers the perfect blend of history and culture for a truly unforgettable summer abroad.

The Destination

Welcome to Brussels, the crossroads of European politics, international business, and global diplomacy.

As a cosmopolitan capital at the heart of Europe, Brussels is known for its rich history, multicultural energy, and global influence. From elegant Art Nouveau architecture to vibrant neighborhoods like the Marolles and Ixelles, the city blends centuries of history with contemporary culture.

Spend your free time wandering the cobblestone streets of the Grand Place, browsing local markets, and discovering a food scene that reflects Brussels’ international influence. Start your day with a warm waffle or café au lait, then relax with fellow Global Navigators in one of the city’s many green spaces as you soak in everyday life.

Home to people and ideas from around the world, Brussels is a place where cultures, languages, and perspectives come together, making every day an opportunity to discover something new.
