CIEE Summer Global Internships Now in 31 Exciting International Cities!

Welcome to week two of CIEE March Madness 2024!
Last week we shared 19 new locations for our CIEE Semester In study abroad program model, bringing the total CIEE Semester In portfolio to 33 international cities.
Today, I’m happy to announce the expansion of the CIEE Summer Global Internship program to an additional nine locations in 2025, bringing the total CIEE Summer Global Internship portfolio to 31 international cities.
CIEE Summer Global Internship is Going Global
The CIEE Summer Global Internship program provides students with many advantages, including:
- More than 1,000 professional placement opportunities in dozens of different professions
- An online search tool to explore available internships and identify opportunities that best match students' academic and personal goals
- An integrated academic CIEE Summer Global Internship seminar that provides professional exploration and specific skills development
- Academic credit of up to six credits, depending on each institution’s credit policy
- The option to enroll in an online, immersive CIEE Virtual Global Internship to gain project-based experience with an international organization

Existing Programs, New for Summer 2025
With our expanded CIEE Summer Global Internship footprint, students could be placed in an internship with an emerging fashion designer in Florence, an NGO in Legon, a tech company in Tallinn, or with one of the hundreds of host employers CIEE partners with around the world. There is an experiential learning opportunity that will match the skills and passions of every student.
Online Search Tool for Students and Advisors
In January, we launched our new Internship Search that allows students and advisors to explore the diverse range of global internship opportunities that we offer to participants. Students can filter by city or industry to sort through the more than 1,000 possible internship placements and find one in a location and business type that best fits their career plans.
If a student doesn’t find the perfect fit using the online Internship Search, we advise them to apply anyway as we are constantly sourcing new internship opportunities.
12th Annual CIEE Global Internship Conference - London
Join us in London for the 12th Annual CIEE Global Internship Conference on June 19-21, 2024, on the theme "Collaborating to Shape Future Talent.”
The conference features stellar line up of speakers, including:

- Dr. Mary A. Papazian, Association of Governing Boards of Universities and Colleges

Plus, in partnership with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, the conference will again feature the GIC Student Challenge in which student teams pitch innovative solution ideas to support increasing access to higher education and livelihood for forcibly displaced youth around the world. We have received proposals from 185 international student teams, representing over 600 students, including 100 students who are currently refugees.
