Overview
Dance your way through Seville as you learn the art of movement in the heart of Spain’s Andalusian region.

Experience the fiery passion of flamenco in Seville, a dance known for expressive hand clapping, intricate footwork and soulful rhythms rooted in Andalusian, Moorish and Romani traditions. Dancers from around the world come to Seville for flamenco, a dance dating back to the 15th century. Collaborate with fellow Global Navigators of mixed training levels and choreograph your own original performance.

Each day includes two core dance components: rigorous dance training and creative studio work. Weekly themes will weave together Dance Composition and Repertory, Dance History, and traditional dance forms from Seville’s rich heritage. Visit iconic spots like Plaza de España and the Triana Neighborhood, where spontaneous flamenco performances captivate crowds.

Beyond the studio, enjoy the city’s rich tapas culture and practice Spanish with local teens. On excursions to Granada and Cádiz, witness the differences in regional traditions of flamenco and dance across Andalucia. Your time in Seville will uncover flamenco's history and southern Spain’s unique culture.

The Destination

Welcome to Seville, a sun-soaked city in southern Spain where rhythm and tradition fill the air.

As the birthplace of flamenco, Seville pulses with music and movement. Other traditional dances, such as sevillanas and fandango, echo through the streets, connecting communities during vibrant festivals and local celebrations. The city's culture reflects centuries of Moorish, Jewish and Christian influences, woven into its architecture, traditions and cuisine, demonstrating the various groups that have called the region home over the centuries.

Get a taste of that cultural heritage in Barrio Santa Cruz, the city's old Jewish quarter, known for beautiful whitewashed walls and hidden plazas. At the Royal Alcázar, hand-painted tiles showcase intricate patterns and scenes from days gone by. From the top of the La Giralda, the Seville Cathedral's bell tower, take in sweeping views of this charming city. Taste traditional Andalusian dishes like croquetas, fried béchamel sauce with ham or chicken and salmorejo, a creamy, cold tomato soup. With its warm hospitality and passion for art and expression, the rhythm of Seville will draw you in.
