Overview
Find inspiration in a city with a vast architectural history, where you'll propose your own design.

Considered the cultural capital of Europe, Paris has long shaped global trends in food, art and architecture. From the Gothic spires of Notre Dame to the industrial Eiffel Tower, the city is a museum without walls. Alongside other Global Navigators, sketch, develop and pitch an architectural design to bring home.

Take part in urban observation and sketching sessions. Discover how public spaces influence daily life and how architecture balances beauty with function. Explore contemporary structures like the Fondation Louis Vuitton and the Musée du Quai Branly, each pushing the boundaries of form and material.

Outside the classroom, wander galleries in the Marais, stroll Montmartre or people-watch in a Parisian café. Practice your French with local teens on cobblestone squares. On excursions, witness the grand palace of Versailles and the medieval village of Provins for a deeper look at France's history. Your time in Paris will reveal how design can tell a story, sparking inspiration for your future career in architecture.

The Destination

Welcome to Paris, a city of timeless design and rich cultural heritage that creates a storybook setting for architectural discovery.

Nicknamed the "City of Light," every street in Paris reveals layers of history and design. Towering Gothic cathedrals, winding medieval alleyways and elegant Haussmannian boulevards lead to landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe, an icon of neoclassical architecture. Glass-and-steel marvels like the Louvre Pyramid showcase how tradition and innovation coexist, providing a glimpse of French architectural evolution spanning over 2,000 years.

Beyond its buildings, Paris lives and breathes art, fashion and philosophy. Countless museums and galleries like the Louvre and Musée d'Orsay put on display world-famous works of art by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Monet and Van Gogh. Local delicacies like buttery croissants and fresh baguettes from a neighborhood boulangerie (bakery) or classic French pastries like macarons from a local patisserie (pastry shop) will tickle your taste buds. Whether admiring centuries-old masterpieces or discovering quiet corners filled with creativity, Paris invites you to slow down, look up and experience beauty in every detail.
