Overview
Leap into London’s historic performing arts scene while refining your dance technique to create a final performance that reflects the spirit of this global capital.

London is home to historic theaters and internationally renowned dance companies like the Royal Ballet and London Contemporary Dance School. Here, dance reflects a rich mix of influences, from classical ballet and contemporary to styles shaped by London’s multicultural communities. With fellow Global Navigators, collaborate to choreograph and perform an original piece, weaving together lessons in the studio with experiences abroad.

Train five to six hours daily in classical forms tailored for different levels. Participate in foundational courses led by British instructors on composition, repertory and England’s vast heritage in the performing arts.

Connect with local teens as you explore the city’s public parks, squares and bustling street stalls serving favorite dishes. On excursions, travel to Stratford-upon-Avon for a taste of Shakespearean theatre and Oxford, home to the world’s oldest English-speaking institution. Your time in London will combine world-class dance training with cultural discovery in one of the world’s great cultural hubs.

The Destination

Welcome to London, a city where centuries of artistic tradition meet contemporary creativity.

London is a dynamic city where centuries-old landmarks meet cutting-edge culture. This vibrant capital of England has long been a global center for performance, home to world-renowned institutions like the Royal Opera House, the Royal Academy of Dance and the Globe Theatre, a historic playhouse for Shakespeare. Neighborhoods like Covent Garden and South Bank offer access to theaters, dance studios and live street performances. In Soho and Camden, colorful market stalls and murals spill into the street, reflecting the city’s commitment to creative expression.

Famous sites such as the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and the British Museum provide a glimpse into the city’s rich history. Hyde Park and the paths along the Thames river are popular green spaces for locals to unwind. Classic dishes like fish and chips, tikka masala and flakey pastries highlight the city’s diverse flavor profile. With its unique blend of global culture, creative energy and academic opportunity, London is an inspiring place to live and dance.
