A full week of activities!
A full week of activities! We kicked off last week at a local piscina which was a great way to beat the heat that has come on full force in Madrid. The rest of the week we have been trying our hand at things like the instrument el cajón, flipping our own spanish tortillas, spanish ceramics, getting loose dancing Sevillanas and relaxing in el Parque de Retiro.
At cajón we had the famous maestro Guillermo Navarro de Azaola teach us some tunes in the world renowned studio Amor de Dios and we learned a little bit about the history of el cajón as well. At our cooking class Pitu (Pilar) taught us how to make some real spanish classics. We made gazpacho, paella, tortilla and tarta de Santiago. ¡Que rico! At ceramics we got to choose from their array of things from sugar bowls to mugs to plates. We also got loose at Sevillanas and there were certainly a few stand out all-stars. When´s the show?! And finally at Retiro we got to unwind a little and enjoy some together time as a group.
¡Que divertido todo! Can´t wait to see what this week brings!
