Bienvenidos a Alicante o Alicant (as the locals say). We spent our Saturday and Sunday in full travel mode as we met up with our new friends and Program Leaders for the 1st time. We can now say we are experienced travelers as many of us experienced USA side and Spanish side airports. We got our very first taste of Europe when we got the chance to meet site staff from Alicante. Rafa, our program director was there to meet us and made us all feel very welcome here in Spain.
The two chaperoned group flights had very unique travel experiences but we all united together during our orientation session on Monday morning. We learned about Spanish cultures, customs, and our language classes. We got the chance to meet our Language teachers and then the most exciting of all- we finally met our host families.
We are so excited to see what this summer has in store for us!
