La Cocina Española
On Wednesday we learned about the rich history of Spanish and Mediterranean Gastronomy by preparing two traditional dishes. We worked in teams to prepare a common tapa dish called the Spanish Tortilla, as well as a cold soup called Salmoreja, similar to a gazpacho. Each dish turned out to be unique and absolutely delicious, amazing considering it was our first time. It was a true reflection of what happens when we work together as a team. Our instructor Raphael gave a beautiful presentation about the origins and hybridization of mediterranean gastronomy and conducted a spice recognition game that truly tested our senses, while Chef Claudia put us to work in the kitchen. ¡Buen Provecho!
