Everything's brighter in Brighton
Monday, June 20th, we took a train, BRIGHT and early, for Brighton, UK. A coastal town only an hour and a half away from London. Upon arriving we walked through the Laines full of shops and cafes to get to the pier. Students were able to roam the arcade and amusement park rides, eat lunch, even get accosted by some hungry seagulls.
After the beautiful beach views, we visited the Royal Pavillion, built as a seaside pleasure palace for King George IV. It's a colorful blend of Chinese and Indian architecture and decor with all of the Victorian history. We ended our day trip to Brighton with local gelato before returning to London.
