Day trip to Cádiz
We had an absolutely wonderful day trip to Cádiz on Saturday. Originally built by the phoenicians, and considered one of the ancient city's of Europe. Placed strategically on the Atlantic, it is the city that Napoleon could not conquer. We took a CIEE charter bus just over an hour to arrive at this precious, small city. Everyone had a great time as we knew there would be beach time later in the day. We climbed up the cathedral bell tower, walked through bustling, tight streets and through a traditional fish market. Our CIEE guide, Adrian, was amazingly skilled at communicating very in depth history while remaining completely in the Spanish language. What a joy it is to experience this with these young adults. They are so supportive of each other, every single one, which makes our time together so rich, as we share knowledge and experiences with each other.
