Chichen Itza!!
Both language and culture and Service and learning had a blast this weekend! We took off towards Chichen Itza for our long weekend trip.
The kids got to experience the night light show at Chichen Itza on Friday.
On Saturday we started our day nice and early with some breakfast and then a guided tour (Spanish for L&C and English for S&L) to learn about the amazing history that lies between the walls of this majestic city.
After our tour, we stoped by a 150 ft deep cenote named Cenote IKIL. The kids were able to dive, jump and swim in this area. (They loved it and even wanted to find another cenote to swim in!)
After we ate we arrived back to the hotel in Valladolid (about 40 mins from Chichen Itza)
We took a much needed rest and then set to a walk around the town of Valladolid. During the walk, the kids explored the plaza. We then ate dinner at a local pizzeria.
What a fun and busy day!
