Adios, Sevilla
Hola a tod@s! As this will be y final post before we leave this beautiful city, I wanted to showcase the words of some of the students abut their journey here in Sevilla.
"The most memorable thing here has been the people that I have met and the friends that I have made." - Kyle
"With the skills I learned in class, I was able to order food, ask where the bathroom and navigate through the city." - Vicky
"Thanks to this trip, I am now way more open to talk to people or get to know people. I am not as shy as I used to be." -Aviv
"I have grown so much personally. I see the world in a different point of view." - Carissa
"I cannot wait to come back to Sevilla and visit my host family." - Grace
"I want to keep improving my Spanish and spend an entire semester abroad in college." - Pallavi
I have to say that I am extremely proud of this group of young people. To be able to leave the comforts of their home in the US to experience a new culture in a different country takes a lot of courage. I cannot not even begin to tell you how much that I have seen these students grow in the past month. These students went frombeing nervous or embarrassed to talk to people that they do not know in their second language to being able to have a meanginful, lengthly conversation. This is a strong, brave group of students and I cannot wait to see what they do in with their futures!
Lastly, I have created a short video about our trip this summer. Please enjoy a look at all of the amazing things that we have seen and experienced this summer. Gracias!
