Hello hello!  My name is Sofia Cohen and I'm currently enrolled in the Madrid 2022-2023 Teach in Spain "Basics" program! I'm thrilled to be a part of such an awesome program, and I hope you follow along for some of my adventures abroad!  I'm incredibly excited to work with brilliant, young minds this upcoming year while also being able to experience life in the beautiful city of Madrid! 

A bit about me: I grew up in a small suburb outside of Sacramento, California until I moved to Reno, Nevada for my undergraduate education (Go Wolfpack!).  At UNR, I studied International Business, Marketing, and Spanish Literature; I fell in love with language learning, traveling, and experiencing other cultures - I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to study abroad in Costa Rica, and knew I wanted to continue to experience living life abroad.  I also had the opportunity to work as an RA for a summer program for young students, and knew I also wanted to pursue the education field after graduation! 

When I'm not working with students or exploring the streets of Madrid, you might find me walking with my dog Espi, painting, writing bad poetry, crocheting, hiking, or intensely studying cool architecture.
