Japanese Language & Culture Japan
Hometown: Pulaski, Wisconsin

Konnichiwa!  My name is Patty Breun, and I'll be a Program Leader on both sessions this summer.  My first time in Japan was as an exchange student.  It was something that changed my path in life and brought me back to Japan again and again.  I'm looking forward to being with you as you experience Japan- many of you for the first time!  There wasn't one particular thing that drew to me to Japan- there are so many!  I've lived in Japan for about six years and had a chance to experience being in a local orchestra, take ikebana (flower arranging) lessons, traditional dance lessons and shuji (calligraphy) lessons.  I've always wanted to be in a taiko group.  That is on my bucket list!   The most important thing to me are the friendships I've made over the years in Japan.  I live in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area with my husband and two sons.  I play violin, love to travel, practice yoga and spend time with my family.
