Teach In Spain Program + 2 Weeks of Spanish Immersion
Hometown: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. United Kingdom

Juliet has been working within the education industry within the last ten years. Despite being raised in the United Kingdom (UK), she has worked abroad previously in Canada, Italy and Slovenia. She still enjoys managing summer schools in both Italy and Slovenia, which serve the purpose of teaching English as a foreign language to children who range from age six to sixteen. Within the UK, she has taught at both secondary school and further education level. Academically, Juliet trained in English Language (Linguistics) and Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition. She is fascinated in not only how languages are used on a societal level, but also how languages are acquired. As a result, she recently gained her Teaching English as a Foreign Language Level 5 qualification. Starting in October 2024, Juliet will be working at a secondary school in Mostoles. She hopes to utilise her practical and academic knowledge of how to teach languages, so that the students at her school will acquire English as smoothly as possible. Join her as she embarks on this enthralling and exciting journey of teaching in the community of Madrid, Spain. She hopes to share cultural, pedagogical, professional and some personal insights, as she makes this transition in her life.
