Francisco "Paco"'s Programs
Francisco “Paco” Frisuelos, Academic Director, Global Institute Madrid, has a Ph.D. degree and M.A. in Humanities from the Universidad Carlos III (Madrid) focusing on Visual Arts and Gender Studies and an M.A. in Film Studies from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Francisco has worked in the area of study abroad for 20 years, and at the CIEE Madrid Study Center for eight years. He teaches a course in New Spanish Cinema to enrich students in learning more about recent Spanish Cinema. He also teaches a course on intercultural communication and leadership that helps students develop intercultural competence and adapt to Spanish culture. He is involved in other intercultural initiatives at CIEE as being part of CIEE’s Intercultural Training Team, which provides training to staff members worldwide. He has participated in workshops with leaders in this field, including Mick Vande Berg, Ph.D., and Sivasailam Thiagarajan, Ph.D.
